FAQ

  • Do I need to know the Amendments and Acts?

In short, no. We do not recommend you spend time worrying about the “Hatch-Waxman Act” or the “Durham-Humphrey Amendment” or any of those. Our reason for this stance is simple: NABP’s Competency Statements do not indicate you’ll need to know these. Just because your law class in school covered these, does not mean you’ll need to know their specifics for the MPJE.

  • How do I know when I’m “ready” (to pass)?

We believe you’ll be ready to pass your real MPJE when you’re consistently obtaining 90% or above on our quiz question sets. Our quiz questions have been carefully crafted to mirror what we think you’re likely to see on the MPJE, and therefore if you are failing our quiz questions then you’re likely to fail your real exam. Conversely, if you’re crushing our quiz questions, we think you’re likely to pass your real exam.

  • How much compounding do I really need to know?

Compounding is an unavoidable, significant part of the MPJE. Furthermore, compounding is actually broken down into non-sterile, sterile, and hazardous compounding. You will absolutely get questions on these areas, and a solid understanding of the most important components of compounding is essential to pass the MPJE.

  • Is PharmLaw alone enough to pass the MPJE?

In short, yes. PharmLaw is a comprehensive study resource, and contains everything we believe you’ll need to know to pass your exam. Our PharmLaw users have greater than a 95% pass rate, so the proof is in the pudding! Our content cites sources from the state law, federal law, and compounding best practices, in a manner that ensures you’re properly educated and prepared to pass.

  • What if state law and federal law conflict?

In general, follow the more strict law. See our blog post for examples of conflicting laws and more on this topic!

  • Is MPJE harder than the NAPLEX?

Over the past few years, the MPJE has had lower pass rates than the NAPLEX. The reasons for this are likely multifactorial, but the important takeaway is that the MPJE is very hard and you need to take it seriously! PharmLaw will prepare you adequately, and although the exam is very difficult, PharmLaw will help you pass.

  • I’m stressed, hangry, and only have 4 days to study. What should I do?

We have created multiple suggested study plans for different timeframes, please see our blog!
